Pure Entertainment

I've largely made an online name for myself flexing my effects editing muscles. The fun of most of my videos is me daring you to find a crumb of my digital manipulation.

The problem is that I often veer into technical experiment territory. I'll put together a trick that's mostly a quick exercise for me and then rely on the behind-the-scenes to do the heavy promotional work.

With that in mind, I was super inspired by my pal Caleb Natale's latest video where he uses his VFX prowess to serve the greater purpose of PURE ENTERTAINMENT. He wonderfully layers a slapstick animation vibe onto real footage.

And to great success! I watched it get over 1M likes on Instagram within the first DAY of being posted. It's a really good reminder (to at least me) that not everything needs to be so cerebral. You really can just aim to be entertaining.

🎥 Trying something new

I've long struggled with long form YouTube videos, so I thought I'd try something new: monthly studio vlogs.

Nothing revolutionary, but it works well for my schedule and I think it provides value to folks wanting to do what I do. I'm simply turning on the camera when I think I have something interesting to show or say.
